Between being sick, injury, the sick baby, and work stuff… I have been keeping in lower on the attendance scale…
4×1 km Rows, 4×10 31in Box Jumps, 4×25 reps of push-ups, random stupidity, stretching, and mat cleanliness.
Added 2 of those damn 45 lbs cross fit plates for a box jump max lol. Repped 2 of them. Not even sure how thick they are… Will measure next time.
Warm-up with movement exercises with help from my homeboy Nathan Hatton. We then worked on open guard partner exercises, positional sweep drilling, reviewed the scissor sweep to mounted crossed collar choke, and then we rolled 5 rounds of 5 minute rounds.
Boy was it warm… lol

Got to LEMMA round 5:00 pm… holy shoot. Tonnes of guys there doing things, from lifting, privates to working on the bag… wow. The heat was hilariously hot. Oh well good for me… bad for everyone else?
Got the little homie’s to follow me around with some running around the mat, side steps, outside/insides, then switching every 2 side steps. Had them bear crawl then a bunch of lunges around the mat.
Nathan and Marco came in to help out,and even Justin, which was fantastic lol… Marc had them do a few cool things as well as Nathan.
Yep… sooo behind.
Worst is the drivers in Tbay lol… live in the north and can’t drive in the snow… hilarious.
Either way, I picked up my little homie from daycare, fed him, wife got home then out… oh and packed the nicely washed GI for the newbie…. yep sure did. Dan Thor’s buddy from his work.
Downed some coffee… made sure to down 3 bottles of water throughout the day.
Thor ran the class… Morgan did a standard warm-up, we repped a a few various of a single leg. By I mean repped, like 30 mins worth lol…. Partnered with Justin the Beast Sillymon. Yeah I was sore. Well at least it didn’t effect my wrist, as I made my partner take my down by attacking my only my left side lol, that way I can slap the mat with my good wrist. At some point I could feel my left fingers fall asleep… oops tape was too tight lol… made sure to loosen that up before technique. Thor got us working on the flower sweep… excellent!! repped them out… like a million of them lol…. a good 30 half hour says Morgo lol… great stuff. We then played some first to points. Myself, Veal, Aussie Mike, Morgo, Marco and Army Chris got grouped up. The white belts and a few others got grouped into a few other groups lol, good stuff, homies worked me lol…. sore, washed it all away last night with some rye… lovely.
Between sickness, injuries, baby and him getting sick, family stuff and other work life opportunities this blog is behind… not that it matters. Only random BJJ gibberish anyway.
Homies be like what what… got to LEMMA around 5:15 pm this day….
In my head I was like what was the point… wasn’t gonna roll anyway. Either way, I bought a new wrist support brace system from Shoppers… thought I was gonna roll. Popped ibuprofen before I headed to the gym, which was great… ibuprofen, helped out for the warm up and pretty much throughout the course of the night actually.
Mike ran the warm-up, with standard running around the mats, inside/outside karaoke, forward/reverse shrimps, forward/reverse rolling, bear crawls, and possibly others… I forget lol.
Partnered with Tony and repped that out… tonnes lol
Partnered with Tony and repped that out… tonnes again lol
Thor then got us to review the flower sweep which we repped out… one of the newer white belts joined us for this session of review. Poor guy still trying to figure this out. Complete resistance of working technique lol… white belt stuff. Being a horrible training partner. It was ok for me, definitely won’t help other white belts lol, by resisting that much, especially when all you are doing is trying to figure out the movements. Yes I told him…
lol
